Building A Dream Life Through Consistent Base Hits
I’ve always had fairly big dreams, but a risk-averse personality. My goal is to continuously improve life each day.
Overview
I am an entrepreneurial marketer with 20 years of hands-on expertise in building, turning around, and growing businesses across multiple verticals.
Job Roles
My roles have ranged from Pricing Consultant at SKP to Director of Marketing, Chief of Staff and operations roles, but the constant has always been using data to make smart decisions.
My greatest strength lies in my ability to see both the big picture and get into the smallest of details to connect the dots into successful strategies.
My entrepreneurial experience lets me iterate quickly and manage the integration of marketing, sales, operations, customer service and finance to create profitable strategies.
The Early Years
My interest in building business began in high school with a car speaker installation business. From there I chose to go to Babson specifically because of their Entrepreneurship Business Degree.
Building A Boutique Marketing Agency
After having worked in-house at a successful turn around company in Mountain View and struggling to find great agency support, it was clear there was a market opportunity in the digital advertising world for a specialized agency model that brought the benefits of an agency but worked like an in-house team.
Attis Media is that agency. We are usually brought on board by owners or senior leadership to drive their paid media strategy and directly integrate with other departments. Our average client tenure is 3+ years.
Bootstrapped Web Venture
As an internal agency project, we strategized, built and launched an online business and generated our first sale in 10 days. That business has consistently generated sales for 5 years on autopilot and a testing ground for marketing ideas and tools.
Balance Of Urban & Mountain
My wife and I currently split our time between Denver and Crested Butte, CO.
Our time in Denver is primarily spent working, but once we get to CB we like to live a simple life, spending as much time outdoors as possible. Last season we got 50 ski days in and 20 days of mountain biking.
When I’m not outside I’ll be spending my free time reading, working to perfect recipes like fresh cheese or paella, or relaxing in front of the fireplace with a hot toddy.

Building A Life
Too often we can wake up and realize some aspect of life is out of balance. My goal is to live consciously and deliberately.
Marketing & Business
I suspect I was meant to be an engineer. I love math and building things, but was trying hard not to follow directly in my older brother’s shoes. Business and marketing have many similarities.
Money & Finance
For better or for worse, money is probably the ultimate tool. If you can find ways to make it work for you instead of the other way around – you unlock new doors of freedom.
Project Forty.365
I’m less than a month away from my 40th birthday. Apparently, I’m supposed to be having a midlife crisis now. Soon? If you exclude the spontaneous purchase of our retirement flat in Italy earlier this year – I’m gonna shrug and say “meh”? …Maybe it will hit me soon. I think I’m supposed to be…

Have you ever had one of those strings of events that lead to a fantastic outcome you never would have gotten to without some randomness? Our mountain condo in Crested Butte is one of those things. It’s the best financial investment I’ve ever made and the best lifestyle & happiness investment I’ve ever made too….
WatchGnome
WatchGnome began as an exercise in business concept brainstorming and rapid concept development. Our goal as a team was to define a business concept in 1 week and then generate the first sale within 1 more week with an MVP launch. We were successful. We went from a blank page of “business ideas” on a…
